La Peninsula

First I'd like to explain why in pinche inglés - well, because I'd like my Austrian friends andfamily to understand it as well as my Mexican amigos. Well, basically that's it.

Just to explain our route, as you'll see in the 'lil map. We did quite a job.

After a quite delicate issue concerning our flight from Mexico DFérida, we
finally arrived in Yukatán's capital.

In general we had a quite hard schedule, sleeping 5-6 hours. We passed a hell
of a time in buses and we didn’t even eat a lot nor took many showers ;-)

Actually we went to ruins in Labná, part of ruta puuc,
we enjoyed Uxmal, later on the marvellous cost of Yukatán at Progreso and Celestúl. The next day we went to Chitzen Itza (I climbed El Castillo ;-) ), to the metropolis of El
Ideal, Chiquilá and the incredible Isla
Holbox
. The fallowing night we spent at Isla
mujeres
, after a quick snack in Cancún,
than Playa del Carmen – to hang out
and party, but we’re all so tired that we even missed that unique opportunity,
it was spring break…

Next day we quickly did Tulum,
Maya ruins located on the beach, fantastic! We went to Bacalar, were we enjoyed the Cenote
Azul
, and a wonderful Laguna. The
crossing of the border to Belize
finally wasn’t that much of a mess, and we could party at an authentic beach
party at Corozal. Later we went back
to Chetumal and took a Bus to Puebla, but it didn’t take us 16 hours,
but 24h! so we spent the whole night and the whole day in the bus – it was our
penultimate day.

Finally, we arrived and we passed a relaxing day in Cholula. We had our final dinner at La Estancia Argentina, 1200 gr. finest Argentinean
steak.

Take care
